About Greg
Dr. Greg Tonkinson currently serves as the Spiritual Life Director for Valley Christian Schools (Chandler, AZ). He has served at VCS for 13 years as and has lived in the Valley of the Sun for 36 years. Prior to working in Christian education, Dr. Tonkinson served for over a decade in the local church as a church planter, teaching pastor, and worship pastor. Dr. Tonkinson is a TEDx speaker, has been a guest of Guy Raz (NPR), and recently performed a 45-minute interview with President George W. Bush. Dr. Tonkinson received his MDiv from Phoenix Seminary (1998) and his DMin from Talbot School of Theology (2015). He is married to Jennifer and has five children.
Greg speaks 30-40 times a year. He is a frequent speaker on topics including: Grief, Loss, Pain, and Doubt. Greg also speaks on: growing in Christ as a Christian teen, challenges teens face, and current cultural uniquenesses for today’s Christian. Greg is a conference speaker, camp speaker, and chapel speaker.
